Part of the fun of looking at a painting is imagining how you, as the viewer, fit into it. Whether the painting resonates with you, or whether it has a literal image of you in it, it can take a lot of introspection on your own part.
With The Color Spectrum series, I wanted to pay homage to universal emotions, while giving the viewer the opportunity to literally see themselves within the frames of the painting.
Each color represents a emotion that I think each person experiences. Though part of the fun is hearing what emotion each painting represents to different viewers.
Red represents cynicism.
Black represents anger.
Orange represents curiosity.
Yellow represents pride.
Green represents solace.
Blue represents loneliness.
Purple represents regret.
White represents relief.
Each of these paintings are for sale. If you are interested, email me at art.cudcunningham@gmail.com.
