Interconnected was my main piece for my senior art exhibition. The art instillation stood as a portrait wall for a lot of the people I’ve come to know in my life. Like a wall you might see in a family home, I wanted this piece to feel like the viewer was getting a look at my connections, and then the connections that each of those people had.
The string represented the connections, while the push pins represented people that I do not know, but the people in my portraits do, which are then connected to more push pins that even the people in my portraits wouldn’t know. I ended the instillation with an area where the viewer could step under the yarn and see the many ways the pins connect.
